Chivalry

The avenues are unlike
& the prettiest of neighbours
Chooses that destination
A burning taste between the tongue

In young rags or fading
Sometimes laughter some time
The moon hazy with moth shit
Takes their song away & frightened

Are the cigarette burns real
Where the river becomes a road
& driven for miles
Until no bullets remain.
